Student modeling services for hybrid web applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper introduces a set of resources that provide web learning environments with student modeling services. SAMUEL is a user modeling server for registering, updating and maintaining student knowledge data from different sources that use their own ontologies. In order to make inferences about student knowledge, it becomes necessary to establish equivalences between concepts of different domains. For this purpose we have developed SONIA, a tool to edit and integrate models which allows semi-automatic ontology mapping. The set of resources is completed with INGRID, an independent generic open learner model for interacting with external student models.

Modeling Hybrid Multimedia N/W-Web Services Using Rapide ADL
Dynamic delivery of network/web services across platforms/technologies will provide leverage of existing investment, scalability, and promote interoperability. In this research we envision a number of hybrid wireless terminal devices/nodes with at least one device/node bridge (called base station or access point) between the air and a physical wired network hosting a number of server applicatio...
متن کاملA model for specification, composition and verification of access control policies and its application to web services
Despite significant advances in the access control domain, requirements of new computational environments like web services still raise new challenges. Lack of appropriate method for specification of access control policies (ACPs), composition, verification and analysis of them have all made the access control in the composition of web services a complicated problem. In this paper, a new indepe...
متن کاملHybrid Analysis and Design Model for Building Web Information System
The World Wide Web has become a highly adopted platform for Web applications. The traditional structured systems analysis and design as well as object oriented analysis and design (UML) cannot capture all the requirements of the e-Commerce Applications. There are various web-engineering techniques used to capture the requirements of web Applications, but there is no silver bullet to capture all...
متن کاملUsability Evaluation of Web Services by Structural Equation Modeling
This paper is aimed at determining of the effect of subjective measures of web service usability on its objective measures. Using these results by appropriate design of web system its usability can be improved. A checklist combining the dimensions of web service usability and web service quality is proposed. For determining the subjective measures with the highest and lowest contribution to web...
متن کاملAn Ensemble Click Model for Web Document Ranking
Annually, web search engine providers spend more and more money on documents ranking in search engines result pages (SERP). Click models provide advantageous information for ranking documents in SERPs through modeling interactions among users and search engines. Here, three modules are employed to create a hybrid click model; the first module is a PGM-based click model, the second module in a d...
